Sandy Coletta began her career in accounting and became a CPA in 1982. It didn't take her long for her to realize that she had a calling to utilize her talents to help those who help others. Her healthcare career began in 1983 as a hospital internal auditor. In 2008 she became a hospital president and served in that roll until 2014 when she became the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a health care system overseeing the operations of four hospitals. She has been married for 34 years and has three adult children. Sandy loves animals and currently shares her home in Rhode Island with her husband, a mini golden doodle, a blue fronted Amazon parrot and an African Grey parrot. She has had many other pets over the years (and likely has added a few since this excerpt was written), some of which you will get to know as you read her book! She serves as a board member for the Roger Williams Zoological Society, The RI Blood Center and Providence College.
